By reducing the weight of individual parts like the frame, BPF, wheels and harness, a significantly lighter bike was possible.

Bodywork on the Next Ninja uses larger openings to promote heat dissipation. Necessary with high power output.

On the Next Ninja, all excess mid-range torque was cut. Our priority was to make it easy to open the throttle.

By moving peak torque higher up in the rev range, torque valleys were almost completely eliminated.

When designing the Next Ninja's engine, the highest power of any Ninja to date was pursued.

Being around racing circles sometimes you get an early scoop on what the factories are doing or thinking about doing . A bird wouldnt tell me but hinted that the 2011 ZX10 is going in a new direction . instead of trying to up the ante in the horsepower wars . They are going to revamp the ZX10 focusing on making the bike .. rider friendly.. The 2011 ZX10 is to be the cutting edge in electronic suspension, traction comtrol and launch control . Even the ECU is to be programed to be inter twined with the all the electronic suspention and traction controls .More or less a twist and go handling package so even the mediocre rider can look like a star on track days .
Its makes sence . I know we have all heard this for years but I think the horsepower wars has hit the limit.How much more HP can you use,95% of the people can use the power they have now! Realistically even for the EXPERT rider . The BMW having 183 RWHP and the ZX10 having 170RWHP makes NO differance if the bike doesnt have the handling to go with it .Come spring you will be suprised at track days to find the expert riders bought bikes because of good handling like the Aprilla RSV4 at 160 RWHP ( if the have money lol) or the Buell 1125Rat 145RWHP( pipe and ECU and 6000$ new alot of track riders snatched them up already)
Both bikes are 40-50 hp down . But they will be running faster lap times .
THATS HOW MUCH THE RIDER AND HANDLING MAKE A DIFFERANCE !

AS far as having the next best thing to a MotoGP/WSB in cutting edge electronic suspension systems . I must be old fashioned or just plain getting old lol. But when I shave a 1/2 second off my lap times . It feels good to know it was ME who shaved off time . NOT the electronic controls doing it for me .

What do you guys think? would you like the twist and go suspension units ?

Kawasaki apresenta oficialmente a "Next Ninja", a ZX-10R 2011 Race[/b]

A Kawasaki apresentou a ZX-10R Race 2011 em uma coletiva de imprensa nesta quinta-feira, 02 de setembro, no autódromo de Nurburgring, na Alemanha.

A nova Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Race foi desenvolvida previamente ao anúncio do modelo de produção em série, o qual será revelado em outubro, na próxima feira Intermot.

A nova superbike, como informado antes por http://www.sobremotos.com.br, já tinha sido testada pelos pilotos Akira Yanagawa eTom Sykes. Ambos tiveram a percepção de que a ZX-10R 2011 apresenta mais resposta e melhor manobrabilidade do que a versão anterior.

Kawasaki ZX-10RThe all-new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R race bike has been unveiled to the international press at the Nürburgring. The presentation of the new bike comes just before the German round of the FIM Superbike World Championship, which will take place at the Nürburgring race track this weekend.


The new Ninja ZX-10R will mark a fresh start for Kawasaki in the championship. From 2011, the Kawasaki World Superbike Racing Team will receive more means and more support from the mother company in Japan. Since 2009, the Kawasaki Superbike Racing Team have evolved and restructured continuously in order to be in a position to utilize the new bike's potential to the maximum next season.


The initial race team bikes themselves will be full factory bikes, built and sent to the team from Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) in Japan. The bike is unveiled only now, as Kawasaki starts the European testing trajectory.


Competing in the Superbike World Championship with the all new Ninja ZX-10R will show and expose Kawasaki at the highest level of motorcycle racing. The rules of the championship mean that Kawasaki starts off with and stay within the concept of the production bike which will be available at the local Kawasaki dealership.


Kawasaki is a racing company and the Ninja brand has a solid racing history and pedigree. The new machine will give Kawasaki the possibility to revive the image of being a successful racing company as the company already shows in so many other of motorcycle racing categories within which Kawasaki competes today.


The unveiling of the new Ninja ZX-10R at the Nürburgring was the only chance for people to see the bike close up before next month. The next opportunity to be eye-to-eye with the new Ninja ZX-10R race bike will be the Intermot show in Cologne, starting the 6th of October

Caramba, ficou bonita, mas não gostei da rabeta, na verdade vendo as fotos sem farol eu esperava algo mais bonito na versão de rua. Continuo a achando a Gixxer 1000 atual a mais bonita SS japa.











Estas são as primeiras imagens que demonstram a mais poderosa e avançada ZX-10R já feita.

A moto de 2011 é totalmente nova, com potência estimada ampliada para um 185bhp, peso reduzido em 10 kg a 198 kg, um dos mais avançados controle de tração juntamente com o sistema ride-by-wire na categoria superbike.

A moto reflete mais de três anos de trabalho dos engenheiros para a Kawasaki no MotoGP.

O sistema da Kawasaki do novo controle de tração é chamado S-KTRC (Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control) e é uma versão muito mais sofisticada do elogiado sistema montado na touring GTR1400.

É bonita? Sim, mas ainda convencional em termos de design. Esperava algo diferente. Mas em teros de ZX10 é a mais bela feita pois a atual é feia que dói com aquela cara zaroia / vesga.
